Singer Taylor Swift announced the release date of her upcoming album, "Lover," and dropped her second video, "You Need to Calm Down," shortly after midnight Friday, Billboard reported.

The "You Need to Calm Down" video is currently Swift singing with the lyrics appearing on the screen. The music video will debut on "Good Morning America" on Monday, Billboard reported.Swift, 29, released her first single, "Me!," a duet with Brendon Urie, in late April. "Lover," Swift's seventh studio album, is set for an Aug. 23 release, People reported.

“The video is very worth the wait," Swift said in an Instagram live posting. "There’s a lot going on in the video; I wanted that to be a separate discovery.”

Swift takes aim at internet trolls in her lyrics, writing "Say it in the street that’s a knock out/But you say it in a tweet that’s a cop out."

“This album in tone, it’s very romantic. And not just thematically, like it’s all love songs,” Swift said about :"Lover." “I think the idea of something being romantic, it doesn’t have to be a happy song. You can find romance in loneliness or sadness or going through a conflict or dealing with things in your life … It looks at things with a very romantic gaze.”
