Reporters know to expect the unexpected when doing live television.

A tiny furry interloper managed to crash a WXYZ live shot in Michigan, and steal the hearts of many viewers in the process.

Reporter Nima Shaffe and his videographer Andy Zaremba first spotted the orange and white kitten as they were setting up for their shot Monday morning, WXYZ reported. The kitten's meows could be heard during the live report.

The kitten, a female named “Lucky Seven” in honor of the news station, is being cared for by The Huron Valley Humane Society.

#7Kitty UPDATE: The humane society of Huron Valley is here.
