A Seattle family has been reunited with their cairn terrier Waffles after it was stolen Tuesday.
The dog was tied up outside a store while a family member ran inside. The store’s security camera only shows the legs of a person who untied Waffles and walked off with her.
The Lucier family canvassed the neighborhood as well as checking social media sites and Craigslist. They posted pictures of Waffles around their neighborhood of Queen Anne and online.
The dog was found with a homeless woman in a park on Saturday.
The woman had apparently dyed Waffles' hair a dark black color in an attempt to hide the theft.
The family decided not to press charges against the woman.
