Officers with the Ohio Division of Natural Resources are investigating a stabbing at Indian Lake State Park following their fireworks show Saturday night.

The incident was reported around 10:45 p.m. when ODNR officers responded to multiple reports of one person stabbed.

According to Patrick Brown, law enforcement officer with the Division of Parks and Watercraft, one person suffered serious injuries and was transported by CareFlight to St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. Brown said the victim's condition was not known, but the victim was taken into surgery.

Brown said two people were immediately identified as suspects at the scene. One was questioned, and later arrested and booked into the Logan County Jail.

The second person was questioned and released, but is still considered a potential suspect, Brown said.

The identities of the victim and suspect were not immediately available.

The events leading up to the stabbing are unknown, but investigators believe there was an argument prior to the stabbing.

Authorities are working with several witnesses of the incident.
