NBC news reported that two women "appeared to be intoxicated" and playing loud music from a boombox Wednesday morning.

Passengers nearby complained and in response, the women held the music player in the air and waved it around.

Spirit Airlines spokesman Paul Berry told The Los Angeles Times that other passengers asked the women to turn down their music, but instead one of the women asked them, "What are you going to do?"

Berry said a second group of women approached the two women and that is when a fight broke out.

The fight was caught on video by multiple passengers.

One passenger can be seen moving away from the fight while one woman gets up from the aisle floor and pulls another woman's hair.

A flight attendant can be seen trying to break up the brawl.

Berry told The Washington Post the argument started when the plane landed and continued as it was taxiing.

He added that flight attendants were slow to respond to the flight because they were seated and buckled into their seats.

LAX police Officer Rob Pedregon said his department was notified and met the crew on Spirit Flight 141 when it landed in Los Angeles.

Pedregon said the five women, involved in a "mutual combat situation," were pulled off the plane.

Since the FBI has jurisdiction when the fight occurred before the plane landed, they were called in to investigate.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said no charges were filed.
