An accident involving a Kansas teen driver sent 11 people to the hospital after she let go of the steering wheel to kill a spider, The Hutchinson News reports.
A spider crawled on the lap of Diana Bell,17, while she was driving on the highway around 1:30 p.m. Sunday. When Bell let go of the steering wheel, she crashed into a vehicle head-on causing a chain reaction that led to another head-on crash, according to Kansas Highway Patrol.
Eleven people were transported to the hospital, which included five children.
All involved in the accident were wearing seat belts and 10 of the 11 injured people were released from the hospital Monday, according to Hutchinson News.
