Soldier family reunions never get old, especially during the holiday season, and that's especially true when the soldier meets his child for the first time.
That's exactly what happened at a recent Anaheim Ducks game.
Sgt. 1st Class Robert Vandenberg's wife Patricia and the couple's two children thought they were going to see each other thanks to a scoreboard video link. But the family and the crowd were disappointed when there were apparent technical difficulties, KTLA reports.

The Vandenbergs have a 17-month-old son Robert and their newborn son Travis. And the homecoming that surely brought many to tears was the first time the sergeant ever held Travis and the first time he has seen his wife and their other son in nearly a year.
Vandenberg was deployed to Afghanistan in February.
