A British Columbia snowmobiler caught the terrifying moment he was tossed in an avalanche on camera.
Curtis Johnson was riding near Sicamous, B.C., last month when the avalanche swept him away.
Johnson is an experienced snowmobiler, but he couldn't outrun the snow.
His helmet cam video shows that for a few seconds, everything goes quiet.
For almost 2 minutes, all that is seen is snow and only Johnson’s breath is heard.
Finally, a hand is seen scraping away the snow as his friends digging him out appear in the frame.
Experts say Johnson is lucky to be alive.
