A shooting has been reported on the Danforth campus of Washington University.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that a female was shot in the arm. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police are pursuing the suspect, who fled in a black SUV.

The incident prompted the school to issue an emergency alert, urging students to seek a safe place and wait until further notice. The school posted an all-clear message approximately an hour after the incident was reported.
