Sheriff’s deputy nearly hit by skidding SUV after snowstorm

WATCH: Driver Narrowly Misses Deputy On Icy Highway

A video recorded during an earlier snowstorm, but just recently released, shows how dangerous it can be for emergency responders and drivers who lose control of their vehicles on slick roads.

Officials at Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office posted video to its Facebook page that showed a SUV sliding and nearly hitting a deputy who had responded to a crash, WITI reported.

The deputy jumped out of the way of the out of control vehicle, WISN reported.

The post said no one was hurt in the near miss, but warns scenes like the video shows are common when people are driving faster than the road conditions allow.
