According to court documents and other reports, the Maryland Court of Special Appeals will hear arguments in the Adnan Syed case in a June session.
The Baltimore Sun reports that Adnan Syed, who was convicted in 2000 for killing his ex-girlfriend, has an appeal scheduled to be heard in June 2015. Syed is serving a life sentence in a Maryland state prison following a conviction of fatally strangling Hae Min Lee in January 1999.
The murder case was popularized by an investigative podcast "Serial," which was downloaded by millions of people and produced by Sarah Koenig.
