Sen. Amy Klobuchar expected to announce presidential run Sunday

Another candidate is expected to throw her hat into the ring for the democratic race for president.

This time it is Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, the senior senator from the North Star State, WCCO reported.

Klobuchar teased her announcement on Twitter after President Donald Trump's State of the Union address Tuesday night, saying she will have a big announcement Sunday.

Klobuchar is in her third term representing Minnesota, after first running in 2006, WCCO reported.

She is a ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and may be best known outside of her home state for her questioning of now Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court.

She asked Kavanaugh about drinking alcohol to the point of blacking out, specifically if he had drunk so much that he didn't remember what happened. He answered by asking her, "Have you?," CNN reported at the time.
