A family of seven lynx kittens and the mother cat showed up on the back deck of a photographer's home on the edge of Anchorage, Alaska, and you can guess what happened next.
Tim Newton captured a series of amazing photos of the lynxes nonchalantly nosing and carousing around Newton’s back door.
Newton said he was awakened by noises on his deck on Sept. 27 and when he looked outside he was astonished.
"Mama Lynx and her seven kits!" Newton, of Tim Newton Photography, said in a Facebook post.

The cats “all lined up right outside” near Newton. He grabbed his camera and captured the amazing visit on film.
"We live on the edge of, basically, wilderness," Newton told the Sacramento Bee.
“So we get wildlife coming through all the time. It’s not the first time I’ve been woken up by wildlife on the deck.”
But not by a lynx because the cats are are pretty rare.
Newton told the Bee he has only encountered them a few times and managed to catch just a couple blurry photos, until now.
Newton said the visit was a lucky break.
"They just kept coming," Newton told the Bee. "They were using my deck for a playground."
The lynx is a solitary hunter that lives in remote forests in North America, Europe and Asia, according to NatGeo.
They are rarely seen because they avoid humans and hunt at night.
The cats are classified as an endangered species in the 48 contiguous United States.
