A man died Sunday after falling off a 200-foot cliff in Kentucky.
Rescuers said Amiot, 25, climbed over a safety rail, jumped a crevasse to Chimney Top Rock and rolled his ankle, then fell 200 feet, according to a post from the Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team.
It was Amiot's first time at the gorge, and he was there hiking with a friend, according to WLWT.
"In the history of folks visiting Chimney Top Rock, in any records that we have, there's only been one person to survive falling from there," Drew Stevens of the Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team told WLWT.
