Report: Trump no longer controlling his Twitter account

With just days looming before the election, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is no longer at the helm of his Twitter account, The New York Times reported Sunday.

Aides now edit and thoughtfully develop the social media posts rather than allow Trump unfettered access to castigate his opponents. It would appear that the last tweet made by Trump was sent around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

"I can't confirm it's true. But apparently his campaign has taken away his Twitter," President Barack Obama said while campaigning for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in Florida. "In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his self-control, they said, 'We're just going to take away his Twitter.'"

 "Now, if somebody can't handle a Twitter account, they can't handle the nuclear codes. If somebody starts tweeting at 3 in the morning because 'SNL' (Saturday Night Live) made fun of you, then you can't handle the nuclear codes."

Kellyanne Conway, Trump's campaign manager, was on "Today" Monday morning and was asked about staff wresting control of his Twitter account.

"No, it's not true," Conway said.
