A Greenacres woman says she was hit with a $7,000 bill after her baby was delivered in the Boca Raton Regional Hospital parking lot.
According to Palm Beach Post's news partners at WPTV, Paula D'Amore's daughter arrived a little earlier than expected back in April, catching her parents by surprise as they pulled up at the hospital in their car.
“We drove up, my husband ran out and I said she’s crowning and her head came out,” she told WPTV.
Nurses came out to the car to assist with the rest of the delivery, right there in the parking lot.
But now the D’Amore family has received the delivery room charge, which amounts to more than $7,000.
D’Amore says she’ll pay the bill, but “I look at this delivery charge and I think that’s a little outrageous.”
