The one-year anniversary of the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in the parking lot of the grocery store is Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012.

Safeway announced Saturday it had completed the memorial near the spot where the shooting happened. Sunday marks the one-year anniversary of the shooting.
