Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said he plans to stay in the race for the Democratic nomination for president.

Voters went the polls Tuesday in six states on the Democratic side, five on the Republican side, to vote in the second-to-last round of the presidential primary season.

Hillary Clinton won the Democratic primaries in New Jersey,  New Mexico and South Dakota. Sanders took North Dakota and Montana. California voters were still being counted at 2 a.m. ET.

The Associated Press said Monday that Clinton has secured enough delegates to win the Democratic presidential nomination. However, Bernie Sanders said Clinton only has the required 2,383 candidates if you count superdelegates. Superdelegates, the Vermont senator said, do not count until they cast votes at the convention.

Trump became the presumptive candidate for the GOP last month.

For the Republicans, a total of 303 delegates.

• North Dakota – 18
