The airport received 3.3 inches of rain, flooding the bottom level of its parking garages, KXAS-TV reported. Water reached nearly to the roofs of some cars and submerged the beds of some pickup trucks.

City of Dallas crews were working early Wednesday to pump the water out of the garage.

About 60 flights had been cancelled at the airport, The Dallas Morning News reported.

Storms are expected to continue in north Texas through Wednesday afternoon, according to The Dallas Morning News. The National Weather Service has also issued a flash flood watch for the area.
