Kansas City, Mo., police arrested four people and used pepper spray twice outside a Donald Trump rally Saturday, authorities said.

Trump expected some opposition, as protesters clashed with authorities Friday in Chicago, where the Republican candidate canceled an appearance. Earlier Saturday, a protester rushed the stage as Trump spoke at a rally in Ohio.

"I told the police there might be problems," Trump told a crowd according to The Kansas City Star. "They said, why aren't you canceling. I said 'no, I'm not canceling.'"

Police chief Darryl Forte said he was not aware of any discussion about cancelling the rally at the Midland Theater, which was loud but generally peaceful.

"Majority of people exercised their rights peacefully," Kansas City police posted on Twitter. "Thank you for that."

A woman was arrested for throwing a glass bottle outside the venue, according to The Kansas City Star

Pepper spray was used multiple times to break up a crowds including to break up a fight between about 200 people and to move masked protesters who were throwing objects out of the street, according to Forte.

No serious injuries and no property damage was reported, according to police chief Darryl Forte.
