Propeller smashes through Air Canada plane window

Investigators look over the scene of an Air Canada passenger plane after it had rough landing in Edmonton, Alberta on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. Flight 8481 was on its way to Grande Prairie, Alberta, from Calgary and was carrying 71 passengers and a crew of four. There were reports that one of the plane's tires blew out on takeoff, but a crosswind prevented the aircraft from returning to Calgary so it carried on to Edmonton.

An Air Canada flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a tire exploded during take-off but then things got worse: one of the propellers busted through a window during the landing impact. At least one passenger was struck in the head.
Christina Kurylo was on the flight and considers herself lucky: she says the propeller barely missed her.
"I'm really lucky. It could have been a million times worse," Kurylo, told Global News. "I could have died, you know, you never know what could have happened."
There were 75 people aboard. Three were injured by debris and taken to Edmonton Hospital to be checked out.
