President Obama boots heckler from White House event: 'You're in my house'

When a heckler at a White House LGBT Pride Month event interrupted President Obama Wednesday, the president had her removed from the room — saying it was one thing to heckle him at a public event but quite another thing to heckle him at an invitation-only event at the White House.

The heckler was later identified as Jennicet Gutiérrez by the Not One More Campaign, a group that opposes the administration’s deportation policies.

Gutiérrez, reportedly an undocumented transgender woman, can be heard yelling in the background, at one point calling for “No more deportations!”

When Gutiérrez refused to be quiet, the president asked security to remove her and then continued to address the crowd.

“So as a general rule,” the president said to the crowd, “I am just fine with a few hecklers, but not when I’m up in the house. You know what I mean? You know, my attitude is, if you’re eating the hors d’oeuvres - you know what I’m saying?”

Vice-President Joe Biden answered, “I do.”

And the president continued: “Okay. And drinking the booze. I know that’s right.”
