A Pittsburgh woman and her boyfriend were both arrested Friday morning after a sexual assault led to an attack.
Reportedly Donal Samuels is facing charges of sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s young relative. Investigators said when Samuels’ girlfriend learned about the allegations, she attacked him with a knife.
Police said when they arrived at a home, Samuels was stabbed in the chest, stomach and back.
“She was retaliating based on a child’s statement to her that she had been sexually assaulted,” Lt. Thomas Lanachione, Allegheny County Police said.
Both Samuels and his girlfriend are facing several charges and remain in the Allegheny County Jail.
The child is receiving treatment at an area hospital.
An investigator said it will be up to the judge to decide if the girlfriend’s charge of attempted criminal homicide will be reduced.
