A woman lost $1,600 during a magic trick in uptown Charlotte, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department report.
The 26-year-old woman told police she was approached by a man around 5 p.m. Feb. 28 on College Street. He attempted to show her a magic trick.
The victim told police the man asked her to provide some money which he was supposed to return after the trick. The victim told police the man failed to return the money.
The amount stolen was listed as $1,600.
