Melbourne officers said they responded to a call late Sunday night about a 7-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy who were “seeking help for their drunk mother,” according to a police report.
The report said officers found Shaun Orlos sitting in a running car outside a business on North Wickham Road and smelling of alcohol.
Officers said Orlos had “slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.”
Police said when she got out of the car, she could not stand without leaning on it.
Orlos refused to take a field sobriety test and refused to submit a Breathalyzer test, police said.
Orlos was arrested on DUI and child neglect charges.
She was booked into the Brevard County Jail.
