Police are warning parents after a child bit into a piece of candy and found a needle after trick-or-treating Wednesday.
Hoosick Falls police believe it was an isolated incident but are warning parents out of safety. The child was not injured, WRGB reported.
"We encourage all parents to check all candy of their children as well as anyone who was out before eating it," Chief Robert Ashe said in a statement. "We had a tremendous amount of children in the village tonight and many who came from out of the village to enjoy the night."
This was not the only candy tampering incident nationally.
Deputies in Florida warned residents about adulterated candy after a mother said their child found a needle in a piece of candy.
