Two Arkansas men were arrested Thursday after authorities said they were seen on a Snapchat video choking and slitting the throat of a dog.
Boots Stanley and Steven Sadler were arrested after authorities said a Snapchat video brought to their attention showed them abusing and killing a dog, KTHV reports. The post was sent to authorities Aug. 24.
The video was posted on Facebook by Hanna Gospin, who saw it on Snapchat and shared it, according to KTHV.
"I'm not scratching out a name in hopes that this person will never own a dog again,” she said in the video.
In the video, one of the men is “seen wrapping a rope tightly around a dog’s neck” and “comparing himself to Michael Vick,” KTHV reports. The video also shows one of the men riding a horse with the “dog hanging on the back end of the horse” before Sadler is shown “slitting the dog’s throat several times with a knife” and the animal bleeding out as it ends, authorities said.
Both men were charged with one count of cruelty to animals and one count of conspiracy.
