Police in New York are looking for a man after a 63-year-old woman said he punched her in the face on the subway because she asked him to move his bag so she could sit down.
Authorities said the incident happened at 9:15 a.m. Nov. 4.
WPIX reported that the woman, who is 63, said she was on the train headed to work. She said the punch knocked her to the floor.
"I asked him politely, 'May I sit?' and he said bad words and punched me in the face," she told WPIX.
“The man looked normal,” the woman said. "But he wasn’t normal and I was so scared because I didn’t know if he would attack me again.”
Police are asking the public for help identifying the man, who is thought to be in his 20s and about 6 feet tall, weighing 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, a green hoodie and jeans.
