According to a statement Sunday by the Broward County Sheriff's Office, the student, who attends Falcon Cove Middle School in Weston made a "false threat to kill" students at the school Monday, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

Deputies said the girl posted the threatening message Friday on Snapchat, WLPG reported. The "death list" threat named students at her school, the television station reported. Later in the day, a second threat was posted to Snapchat, indicating the students were not safe and would be killed Monday, WFOR reported.

According to a Facebook post by the Sheriff's Office, the girl was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of making a written threat to kill and false reporting concerning a firearm.

Deputies were made aware of the threats when a student at the middle school and her parent alerted authorities, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

The arrest came a day after a Lauderhill teenager was arrested on suspicion of reporting bomb threats at two Lauderdale Lakes schools, the Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook. That teen was arrested Thursday evening and is facing two counts of false reporting of a bomb threat, according to the Sheriff's Office.
