A man in Flagler County was arrested after going to a probation office in a stolen car and carrying a gun in a bag, The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports.
Deputies responded to a probation office in Bunnell on Monday around 10 a.m. when Christopher Smith's probation officer said Smith, 38, came to his office for an appointment in a stolen vehicle and was carrying a .25 caliber handgun in a bag, according to News-Journal.
Smith was sentenced to three years’ probation on July 22, 2015, after he resisted arrest during a traffic stop and injured two officers in July 2014, according to News-Journal.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office ran the car's plates and found out that the car had been reported stolen in St. Johns County. Smith told police he did not know where he rented the car and stopped responding to questions, News-Journal reports.
Officers arrested Smith and St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said they would charge him “in relation to the stolen car,” according to News-Journal.
