Investigators from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they identified another eight victims who were allegedly assaulted too many years ago — beyond the statute of limitations.
Dr. Fidelis Edosomwan, 53, was first arrested in late January after two alleged victims said he touched them inappropriately during routine exams.
Edosomwan agreed to a medical license suspension while those allegations were investigated. Then he turned himself in Thursday after warrants were issued for his arrest on charges related to additional alleged victims.
Alleged victims told police Edosomwan fondled them during exams. Police said other details of the alleged assaults were too graphic to share publicly.
