Police arrest Texas man accused of gluing toddler's eyes, mouth shut

Sept 25, 2018A Texas man was arrested Monday, accused of gluing his toddler's eyes and mouth shut, police said.
It's believed the child's injuries were suffered during a larger domestic incident, with the suspect fleeing before police arrived, KVIA reported.
Johnnie Lee Carter, 29, was arrested Monday at an El Paso motel, the Odessa Police Department said. He had been on the run for almost a week, per the Odessa Police news release.
The condition of the child is unknown, KVIA reported.
Carter has been charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury, a first-degree felony, the Odessa Police Department said.
