The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says a dog in their Boston shelter for nearly a year has found a forever home.
Brandy, a 4-year-old female pit bull, first arrived at the shelter in November of last year.
Earlier this month, the shelter posted on Facebook that her first anniversary was coming up -- a milestone the workers hoped she wouldn't see.
“She’d be a great office companion for someone who works from home!” the MSPCA said.
On Wednesday, Brandy was adopted by a couple who said they'd been following her story.
"TODAY IS THE DAY! Help us congratulate Brandy and her wonderful new family!! Yippeeee! Thanks to everyone who shared her story!!" the MSPCA said on Facebook.
