Five people, including a 6-month-old baby, were stung by a swarm of bees Saturday outside an Arizona mall, police said.

According to Jeff West, battalion chief for the Chandler Fire Department, the attacks occurred in the Macy's parking lot at Chandler Fashion Center, the Arizona Republic reported.

The baby was stung three times and was hospitalized, KNXV reported. The four adults were treated at the scene, according to KTVK. It was not clear whether the other victims were hospitalized, the television station reported.

Crews worked to remove the hives from the area, KNXV reported. Firefighters used foam to douse a beehive in a tree, according to the Arizona Daily Star.
