Detectives recovered dozens of stolen weapons during a raid at a Washington-area pawn shop. Among the loot were 51 rifles, pistols, shotguns and more.
Twenty-one of the seized firearms are known to have been stolen, and have been linked to six recent burglaries in that and another county.
Deputies are trying to determine who owns the other 30 weapons and whether they, too, were stolen.
“What concerns us (is), this is a business owner who’s using his seemingly reputable place of business to stockpile stolen weapons,” said Sgt. Benjamin Myers of the King County Sheriff’s Office. “We know that stolen firearms are often used in other crimes.”
The owner of the pawn shop, Carl Grahn, is being investigated for possession of stolen property and possession of stolen firearms, both of which are felonies. He was not available for immediate comment.
Myers expects criminal charges to be filed soon against Grahn.
Authorities ask those who recognize any of the weapons in the photos to contact the King County Sheriff’s Office.
