A fight broke out among parents when some tried to film a kindergarten play in Menifee, California, blocking the view for others.
The adults' behavior ultimately got the performance canceled Wednesday.
About 300 people attended the kindergarten performance at Hans Christensen Middle School, Betti Cadmus, Menifee Union School District spokeswoman, told The Press Enterprise.
The fight broke out among parents a little after 7 p.m.
"Some people walked to the front row and started filming," Riverside County sheriff's deputy Michael Vasquez told The Press Enterprise.
That prompted the response from the other parents. What started as a verbal altercation escalated to pushing and shoving.
While the play was canceled, no one was arrested. A citation for a citizens arrest was issued.
