Parents claim day care worker ripped out chunk of toddler's hair

A day care employee in the nation’s capital is facing child cruelty charges after she was allegedly caught on surveillance video ripping hair from a toddler’s head.

Parents Daizha Rosser and Lawrence McEachin were shocked to find a chunk of their 1-year-old son's hair missing after he had been at Kids Are Us Learning Center on Tuesday, according to NBC 4. The parents confronted day care staff, who claimed another child had pulled out the hair.

Rosser and McEachin demanded to see surveillance video, which they claimed shows that a teacher pulled out their son’s hair.

McEachin claims that the teacher said she was irritated when the hair-snatching incident occurred.

Police told NBC 4 that a day care employee was arrested and charged with first-degree cruelty to a child.

The owner told NBC 4 that she thought the incident was horrific..
