A Papa John's Pizza delivery driver was run over by his own SUV Thursday morning.
Police said the driver was delivery pizza to a house in the University area.
The driver got out of the SUV and police said he thought he had put the vehicle in park.
The driver was walking to the door when the SUV started moving, officials said.
The man was pinned under the car when he tried to stop it from rolling into the house, Charlotte Fire Department officials said.
It took 12 firefighters to rescue the driver.
Officials said he is expected to be OK.
The house sustained minimum damage that did not affect its stability.
