A pack of dogs attacked a 76-year-old woman attending a funeral Monday, leaving her with bullet-sized puncture wounds, investigators said.
The woman, who is from Virginia, was in town for her brother-in-law's funeral, WYFF reported. She was visiting her husband's grave first and was fixing flowers when the dogs attacked her, biting both sides of her hips and her legs below the knee.
"I knew right away they were not friendly dogs, they were like a wolf pack," the woman, who has not been identified, told WYFF.
The dogs ran off when two of her nephews ran over. The woman suffered bullet-sized puncture wounds to her body, WYFF reported.
Investigators went to seize the dogs Tuesday from the home of Daisy Anderson, who had 12 more dogs living there as well. Six dogs were taken as a precaution because two looked the same. Only five of the dogs will be deemed dangerous; investigators are working with the victim to determine which of the identical dogs were involved.
Anderson was arrested on charges related to owning an animal that attacks a human, investigators said.
