The Associated Press reports that the FBI has interviewed a man who worshipped at the same Fort Pierce mosque as Omar Mateen, the gunman responsible for last week's Orlando nightclub shooting.

Citing the man’s attorney, the interview reportedly lasted about 30 minutes Friday at the mosque.

The attorney, Omar Saleh, added that he expects more people will be interviewed at the mosque.

Forty-nine people were killed and 53 were wounded in the attack, which took place in the early hours of Sunday when Mateen, 29, of Fort Pierce entered, the gay nightclub on its popular Latin night and fired off more than 200 rounds of ammunition from a handgun and an assault rifle. He died in a shootout with Orlando police.
