Law enforcement agencies from around Miami Valley gathered Thursday morning at Grandview Medical Center to honor Dayton police Detective Jorge DelRio.
DelRio was shot twice Monday night while serving a drug search warrant. Police Chief Richard Biehl said after the shooting that DelRio's injuries were "not survivable."
Video from inside the hospital, filmed with permission of DelRio’s family, showed officers lining the halls as DelRio was taken to the operating room, where his organs were harvested.
Many of the officers were in their formal law enforcement attire to honor DelRio and his service to the community. Many officers' badges were dressed with a mourning band, which is used when an officer is killed in the line of duty.
Four people have been arrested on charges connected to the initial drug bust and the shooting of DelRio.
Nathan S. Goddard Jr., 39, is accused of firing the shots that critically injured DelRio, according to police and federal investigators.
