David McKinnon, a York motorcycle officer, came across the potentially stinky situation during a recent night shift. The skunk had gotten its head stuck in a McFlurry cup.

In the video posted Tuesday by the York Police Department, McKinnon calls the animal over and gently tugs at the container until the skunk's head is dislodged from it.

"See, there you go. You're OK," McKinnon is heard saying on the video.

The skunk seems a bit confused. It first starts to walk toward the officer before quickly running away.

“I never thought in a million years,” McKinnon said. “Oh my God. Whoa. That was a first.”
