CNN is reporting two new witnesses to the Aug. 9 fatal shooting of Missouri teen Michael Brown have been discovered and their accounts corroborate other witness comments that Brown had his hands up when he was fired upon.
A video airing on CNN shows the two witnesses, who were contractors working on a construction site in the area, reacting shortly after the shooting, as the crime scene investigation area was being set up by police. According to the report, the contractors, who asked to remain nameless, are not from Ferguson and do not know the Brown family.
"He had his f**n hands up," one of the witnesses says in the video.
One of the contractors told CNN he heard one gunshot, then another shot 30 seconds later.
“The cop didn't say get on the ground. He just kept shooting," the man told CNN about the actions of the officer, who has since been identified as Darren Wilson.
The other worker told CNN he saw Brown running from the police car and Wilson was chasing him before firing at Brown while Brown’s back was turned.
Earlier this week, the Post-Dispatch and KTVI-TV in St. Louis spoke with two construction workers who claimed to have witnessed the shooting. It's not clear if they are the same workers who spoke with CNN.
