Holloway is charged with first-degree assault and attempted murder after the Oct. 12 shooting at New England Pentecostal Ministries in Pelham. Holloway allegedly walked into the church and fired shots, injuring the bride, groom and church bishop.
Holloway was detained by guests at the wedding before his arrest.
"From my understanding they basically gang tackled him," said Pelham Police Chief Joseph Roark. "There was a struggle [that] ensued, minor injuries occurred to the other guests who were in the struggle with the shooter."
There were multiple events scheduled for that morning, including a noon funeral service for pastor Luis Garcia, 60, who was killed earlier this month in Londonderry. The accused suspect in Garcia's death is Brandon Castiglione, 24, who is the son of the groom-to-be, Mark Castiglione.
Holloway is Garcia's stepson, according to an online obituary for Garcia.
Holloway was held without bail after pleading not guilty. An evidentiary bail hearing was scheduled for Holloway on Tuesday, but it has been canceled and "a new hearing will be rescheduled upon request of defendant's newly appointed counsel."
