There's a new bae in town - Bei Bei the baby panda.
Bei Bei, a panda born in August at the National Zoo, was named by First Lady Michelle Obama and First Lady of China Pen Liyuan. The name means "precious treasure."
Mei Xiang, a giant panda at the National Zoo, gave birth to twins Aug. 22. One of the cubs died days later.
In total there are four cubs, including Bei Bei, at the David M. Rubenstein Family Giant Panda Habitat. Watch the pandas live on the Panda Cam.
After Bei Bei turns four, he will move to the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Wolong, Sichuan Province.
