They may not have championship bling, but the Nashville Predators had an important ring nonetheless.
As Viktor Arvidsson walked out to the ice, he had a surprise for Morgan Landsberg, NHL.com reported.
Arvidsson had hidden on his pinky finger a diamond ring given to him for safekeeping by Landsberg’s boyfriend Connor Payne.
Arvidsson showed Landsberg the ring as she tried to snap a quick picture, not thinking it would be a life-changing moment.
Payne had the hockey fan's proposal of lifetime set up before the game against the Anaheim Ducks, SBNation reported.
As Landsberg took the ring from Arvidsson, she turned around and saw Payne on bended knee as the players cheered her on, "Today" reported.
Payne told NHL.com that the idea to have Arvidsson carry the ring actually came from Landsberg.
“When we started dating, she said it’s always been a dream of hers to get proposed to at the Predators game. Then, working with the team they really helped us out and kind of put things into place,” Payne said.
