The nanny of a Palm Beach Gardens doctor tried to extort him by threatening to release a sex tape of the pair unless he gave her $6,500, according to a police report.

“Do you love your wife?” Melissa Samantha Lee, 26, asked the 52-year-old Roger Lee Duncan on Wednesday before demanding $6,500 in total and $3,000 in cash by Saturday, according to Palm Beach Gardens Police.

Duncan, an anesthesiologist who works out of several Florida hospitals, told police he had a brief intimate relationship with Lee when she was working as a nanny in their home. She wanted the money to buy a car and a plane ticket back to her home in Jamaica, the police report states.

Lee threatened to release a sex tape of the encounter unless the doctor gave her $3,000 in cash by Saturday.

“Tick tock!!!” she texted him.

Police set up a controlled call and monitored Duncan’s text messages to gather evidence Thursday. Duncan told Lee he was at the bank getting the cash, but was shy $800.

“Sorry that won’t do,” she responded, later adding, “This isn’t a joke I’m not playing!!!!”

Duncan told police Lee threatened to give the video to his wife, the report states.

“I’ve got the $3,000. I’m coming home… But I need you to delete the sex tape in front of me. Will you do that?” Duncan messaged back.

Police placed a hidden recording device on Duncan before sending him into the home with $1,800, the report states. He handed Lee the money and can be heard in the recording asking her to see the video. Officers waited outside the home.

Lee “laughed” and told Duncan she didn’t have a video, but had an audio recording, police report. She then told him she did have three videos, however.

Police then arrested Lee in the living room on one count of extortion. She’s being held at Palm Beach County Jail on $10,000 bail.

Duncan was reached by phone Friday, but declined comment.
