Gastonia police are asking for the public’s help to identify a female suspect who wore a pink or red wig as she robbed a store at gunpoint.

At 9:52 p.m. June 14, the woman entered the Save Mart at 1010 S. New Hope Road, walked up to the register, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied, and the woman left the store, police said.

She is described as a black female with a light brown complexion, and about 5 feet, 2 inches tall.

In addition to the wig, she was wearing an oversized black jacket, jeans and black and white shoes
