Apparently, not even paradise is safe from winter's chill.
According to The Associated Press and KHON-TV, a storm brought strong winds and snow to parts of Hawaii over the weekend.
Although the islands' mountains occasionally get snow, the state's Department of Land and Natural Resources said in a Facebook post Sunday that snow fell at a state park "for perhaps the first time ever."
"Polipoli State Park on Maui is blanketed with snow," the post said. "It could also be the lowest elevation snow ever recorded in the state. Polipoli is at 6,200 feet elevation."
One video, taken by Evan Mazingo and shared by KHON-TV, quickly went viral, with tens of thousands of views on Instagram.
