A photo posted by the Vancouver Police Department is getting a lot of attention on social media.
The photo shows a K-9 officer, Niko, undergoing rappelling training.
"Rappelling is a vital skill for our tactical teams to have, and it tests both handler and dog," the police department wrote on Facebook. "In the training scenario in the photo, PSD Niko was introduced slowly to the task."
Niko was supported in a body sling and was fully supported during the exercise. The K-9 officer was rewarded with a much-deserved game of tug-of-war after completing the training.
